PHYS 2650 - Classical Mechanics 1
The first in a sequence of two courses on intermediate to advanced level mechanics. Topics include inertial and non-inertial reference frames, energy, oscillations, dynamics of systems of particles, motion of a projectile with air resistance, planar motion of rigid bodies, as well as gravitation and central-force motion. Prerequisite: [a ā€œCā€ or better in one of PHYS 1070, PHYS 1071, or PHYS 2152] or [a "C+" or better in PHYS 1030 or PHYS 1031]. Pre- or corequisite: one of PHYS 2496, PHYS 2490 or MATH 3132.
