PHED 2710 - Human Movement Principles. This course is delivered remotely. It uses a combined synchronous-asynchronous course design. Students are expected to be online during the scheduled class times and are expected to log in between class times to keep up with discussion and readings. Students will be given time to work with someone in their bubble to teach them a fundamental sport or movement skill. There will also be discussion board and peer/group work. Your computer or device, and Internet connection must meet the UM minimum requirements found here https://centre.cc.umanitoba.ca/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/Student-Connectivity-Recommendations.pdf. These are required for all Fall 2020 classes. Webex must be installed for use during this course. Students will need to video tape the person they are teaching the skill to. Students should be able to video outside / in a court and may want to use a smart phone or tablet for ease of recording. As well, some form of video editing software will be required to help with the reflection presentation on the skill development. There will be group work assignments, including creating a dance presentation (students will need to connect with web cameras for this presentation).
