Levels: Graduate, Undergraduate Main (Fort Garry & Bannatyne) Campus Education Course Schedule Type Learning Objectives: This course is designed to support in-service teachers in enacting pedagogies involving digital multimodal composing (DMC), defined as activities that engage learners in using digital tools to construct texts in multiple forms of meaning (e.g., image, sound, body, text, speech, space, object). Teachers will engage in self-directed, participatory inquiry into educational issues of interest to them through multiple forms of digital media, such as sound postcards, digital stories, and video essays. They will have opportunities to collaboratively develop and assess a variety of DMC activities and draw connections to relevant research findings, especially in relation to learners from diverse backgrounds.
