Modelling vehicle performance. Elements of railway engineering. Design for trucks. Transportation systems management. Application of intelligent transportation systems. Basic pavement design methods. Introduction to pavement management systems. Highway accidents and design for safety. Legislative and policy framework for transportation engineering. Prerequisite: CIVL 3790.
