(Lab required) Strength and stability of columns, torsion of thin-walled members, unsymmetric loading and shear centres, beam deflflection and energy methods. May not be held with MECH 2220 or MECH 3500. Prerequisites: MECH 2222 (the former MECH 2220), MATH 2130 (the former MATH 2110) and MECH 2112.
